Our Offer

Mt Frome Estate is offering vineyard units for lease. A unit is 30m of vines. The Grapes are Red- Shiraz or Cabernet Sauvignon or White - Chardonnay. The Vigneron (literally a wine grower, but in this case the person leasing the vines) may choose which they prefer. The cost of the lease for one vintage is $600/unit.

As a Vigneron you will receive a welcome pack with all the details of the vineyard plus a bottle of Mt Frome Estate's premium wine. You will be entitled to visit the vineyard and view your vines when you wish (just call to make sure we are home). When you visit the Owner or vineyard staff will give you a tour of the vineyard and conduct a private tasting of wines from the vineyard.
Vignerons can check for updates on what is happening in their vineyard at www.mtfromeestate.com. During important periods of the year Vignerons will be invited to participate in vineyard activities such as pruning, harvesting and to a limited extent winemaking.
As a Vignerons you will receive 3 cases of wine per unit leased from the vineyard that your vines grow in at the end of your 12 month lease. The wine will be labelled with the Mt Frome Estate label or if you wish with your own personalised label, ready to be picked up or couriered to you (own labelling is at Vignerons expense. Our in house design team can help design your labels if you wish)
IN ADDITION Vignerons who purchase 5 units or more are entitled to a 50% discount on 2 nights accommodation for two at Chabara Farmstay overlooking Mt Frome Estate. Vignerons who purchase 10 units or more will receive the two nights accommodation free.

Risks: As grape growers we have to live with what Mother Nature gives us. While the vineyard management is guaranteed to be of the highest standard, where Mother Nature is concerned nothing can be guaranteed. To reduce the risks, the yield predictions are very conservative. In addition we will retain and not lease out 20% of the vineyard’s units as an extra buffer. Grape insurance is also advised to further reduce your risk.

We are so sure that you will be delighted with our vine unit lease - we offer you a full money back guarantee: If after your first visit to Mt Frome Estate (or 90 days from the start of your lease which ever comes first) you are not happy with your lease we will refund your money no questions asked (actually we will ask where we went wrong but you don’t have to tell us).
